Before her career path took a turn into sustainability consulting, Annabel Kalmar studied agricultural economics and developed a passion for helping farmers thrive. Her experience in both areas came together to form the Tea Rebellion, a social enterprise championing high-quality tea and the people behind its production.
As well as making sure they get paid fairly, Annabel aims to elevate the personal stories of producers and the provenance of their tea. It’s her belief that the nation’s favourite beverage deserves to be treated with the same reverence as coffee or wine.
Ultimately, she hopes to make Tea Rebellion the go-to brand for sustainable, transparent, award-winning tea.
