Indulge in delights from the Yellow Submarine training kitchens, where opportunities are being cooked up for people with learning disabilities and autism.

All their treats such as brownies, cookie ingredient bottles and granola are handmade by bakers in the making, who are signed up to the Yellow Submarine traineeship.

This programme is a stepping stone from education to employment. More than just getting the hang of using a whisk and perfecting recipes, it also equips trainees with enhanced life skills, confidence and independence.

Yellow Submarine is built on the belief that people with learning disabilities and autism deserve to live life to the full and can make a valuable contribution to the workforce. The traineeship proves that, giving trainees the opportunity to shine.

The social enterprise is all about removing barriers and challenging preconceptions, in their own kitchens and beyond. That’s why they also work with other employers to help them provide accessible work environments.
