Seilich
From wildflower meadows of the Lothians in Scotland comes Seilich’s pure and natural skincare.
Nurture your skin and wellbeing while nurturing the planet with their range, which includes soothing products like Nettle Toner, Wild Carrot Moisturiser and Reviving Blend Tea.
Each and every Seilich product is a celebration of powerful Scottish botanicals. These are handpicked from the brand’s very own wildflower meadows, which serve as an important habitat for local wildlife, abuzz with pollinating insects such as bees, butterflies and beetles. The meadows are left completely undisturbed, letting nature do its thing in peace.
Seilich runs their planet-friendly biz according to a vow to give more than they take. That means creating more meadows every year and using profits to manage existing meadows and maximise biodiversity. It’s no wonder they’ve been certified by the Wildlife Friendly Enterprise Network.
Whether a pampering pick-me-up for yourself or a gift for a friend, feel good knowing your Seilich orders are helping the nature behind the range keep thriving.
Botanist and nature conservationist Dr Sally Gouldstone spent 20 years working in nature conservation before launching Seilich. Her job took her between exciting projects and places, from Borneo’s tropical swamp forests to fronting a prime time natural history programme.
Over the years, one thing stayed the same – conservation projects were constantly struggling to fund their work. A lightbulb moment came in the health and beauty aisle of a supermarket, where images of nature were all over the products: what if a commercial venture could create much-needed sustainable funding for conservation?
Sally started out with a very small wildflower meadow and a course in making natural skincare products. The good-for-nature business model has been blooming ever since, with the meadows now stretching over eight acres.
