The Lord Wandsworth Foundation offers education awards (bursaries) to around 50 children whose lives have been disrupted by the loss of support of one or both parents.  Some of our Foundationers are in the care of relatives or living in unsuitable conditions; others are coping with chaotic home circumstances with a grieving parent struggling with daily routines; some are victims of domestic violence; others are caring for a terminally ill parent or a family member with a mental health illness.  All these children face tough challenges at home that are detrimental to their education.

Set in 1,200 acres of rolling countryside, Lord Wandsworth College provides a safe, caring and inspiring learning environment with plenty of space to breathe, creating a positive impact on Foundationers’ academic and personal development and ensuring they thrive and reach their full potential.

We have been doing this for 100 years and have been recognised for our work recently by receiving national awards for pupil wellbeing and working with vulnerable children.

An LWC Foundation Award gives a child the opportunity to enjoy their childhood away from family challenges and live and learn in a safe, nurturing boarding environment where they can benefit from a broad academic and co-curricular education, learning life skills from every experience to help them go out and make their mark on the world.
