Sapling Regenerative Vodka
The Gold Standard of Sustainable Vodka.
Why?
To champion British regenerative farming and continue our mission of creating world class, environmentally focused spirits that work with nature and not against it.
The farming methods are designed to put carbon from the atmosphere back in the ground where it belongs. These practices restore vitality to the soil, making it more fertile and nutrient rich. Through rotational grazing on a diverse herbal lay prior to sowing the wheat, we have eliminated insecticides and fungicides, and use natural manure from the chickens as fertiliser. The wheat is carbon negative - approved and verified by the UK carbon code.
What to expect from our Sapling Regenerative Vodka?
Our vodka is very unique, not your typical spirit. On the Nose you'll get: Buttery, caramel, cereal, toasty, chocolate orange, pencil shavings, citrus, lemons, saltiness and umami
Taste is a mix of Toffee, Cereal, Earthy, Chocolate Orange, mineral, saltiness, cereal, silky, soft sweetness, slight woody notes, umami.
To finish this off you will get notes of woody, butter and chocolate that lingers in the mouth.
Sapling Regenerative Vodka is fermented using low carbon koji fermentation which uses less heat, which makes it even more climate friendly.
Buy 1 bottle, plant 1 tree!
Like all of our products, a tree is planted for each bottle we sell. You will get a unique code on your bottle cap which you can type in on our tree tracker and learn more about your tree.
At Sapling two things are essential to their ethos – high quality spirits and love for the natural world. In most people's minds, these two things might be mutually exclusive.
Is saving the world not something that requires a bit more effort? Walking, instead of driving? Sorting out your recycling properly? Of course we all should do these things, but Sapling believe we can protect the planet while kicking back with friends, and doing the things we love.
That's why with every bottle of Sapling, the team plant a tree. A unique code on each bottle tells you what type of tree was planted, where, and a little about the planting project.
A recent study found that an average bottle of vodka uses 2.8kg of carbon before it reaches its customer. One of their trees can absorb up to 1.5 tonnes of carbon in its lifetime, making each of Sapling's bottles significantly carbon positive.
Made in the heart of London, Sapling use local ingredients to reduce transport emissions too. It is four times distilled from 100% British wheat with charcoal filtered, de-ionised water. The high starch content of the wheat leaves the fresh finish and a hint of natural sweetness that makes Sapling so easy to drink.
