Riesling
Famous for its Riesling and producing some of the worlds most revered white wines, the Pfalz wine region is a charming landscape of rolling hills and vineyards. Located just south of Frankfurt and north of the Alsace, Pfalz enjoys more sun and less rain than anywhere else in Germany making it the perfect climate for great wine making. Only the healthiest and ripest grapes are harvested by hand for Sea Change Riesling. The grapes are then left for 24 hours to macerate before a particularly slow wine making process is used to ensure that the wine captures the fullest of flavours.
Half of all plastics are single-use applications, used just once and then disposed of (J Hopewell et al - Plastics recycling: challenges and opportunities 2009). By purchasing this bottle of Sea Change Riesling, you are helping our charity partner www.oneearth-oneocean.com clean and recycle plastic from our oceans using special refuse collection vessels.
Tasting Notes: Sea Change Riesling is a dry wine bursting with ripe fruit and zingy acidity. It is wonderfully complex but exquisitely balanced through the expert wine making skills of Tina Pfaffmann and her team.
Food Pairings: Whilst it is easy to enjoy a glass or two of Sea Change Riesling in the garden or before a meal, it really comes into its own when matched with food. Its structure and balanced acidity make Sea Change Riesling an unbelievable match for fresh seafood, plant-based curries or even pork belly. Dishes based on creamy sauces also pair brilliantly as the dry crispness of the wine offers beautiful contrast.
When to drink: This Riesling should always be served chilled. It can be enjoyed fresh and young but also has excellent ageing potential.

These winemakers are committed to creating exceptional drinks and caring for our oceans in equal measure. Look closely at the beautiful hand drawn illustrations on each bottle and you’ll notice the marine animals depicted have bits of plastic inside, reflecting the effects of plastic pollution.
Keen to be part of the solution, Sea Change put real thought into their own packaging. There are none of those plastic wraps around their bottle tops and the labels are a mix of paper from certified sustainable forests and grape waste too. Even the corks are made from a renewable plant-based material.
Sea Change also gives back to conservation charities who help protect marine animals too, making a donation for every bottle sold. All this adds up to a lot of small ripples of change and one big positive impact per bottle. In fact, they've now donated a whopping €500,000 to charity.
Better still, there’s a great variety in their award-winning range. So you can toast to making a difference whether you’re partial to a prosecco, reds like negroamaro, whites like sauvignon blanc or a rosé.
