Chardonnay

£12.49

Sea Change's prize winning Chardonnay is vibrant, zesty and full of flavour.

IGP Salento, Puglia, Italy

Imagine in your mind’s eye, a picture of Puglia. Situated in the heel of Italy’s boot, it’s a landscape framed by the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic and constantly bathed in sunshine.

Rich in culture and culinary delights, it is no wonder that Sea Change Chardonnay is bursting full of flavour and charisma. Not a 90’s style ‘over-oaked’ Chardonnay in any sense, but a modern take on a true classic that we think should be appealing to all.

Tasting Notes

Lemon, lime and citrus zest are all front of mind for us whilst enjoying Sea Change Chardonnay, along with the fact that it’s wonderfully rounded and easy drinking. It is a dry white wine we’d definitely describe as ‘fruit-forward’, whilst also benefiting from a well-balanced structure, mouth-watering crispness and a soft, delicious finish.

Food Pairings

A perfect partner for light starters and appetisers as well as being great on its own as an aperitif. However, it really comes into its own when paired with creamy seafood dishes - ideally enjoyed with a sea view.

When to drink

It’s best enjoyed when youthful and fresh and always lightly chilled.

Environmental Benefits

Every bottle of Sea Change Chardonnay sold helps fund vital ocean conservation in Europe and around the globe. By buying this wine you are directly supporting beach cleans in Europe which help to protect fragile eco-systems and minimise plastic pollution. All of this will  allow future generations enjoy the beautiful Adriatic coastline as much as we have.

About Seachange

Seachange want to combine their love of great wine with their desire to do something to help protect our oceans.

Turning the tide on the juggernaut that is plastic pollution is only going to happen if we all make changes, even small ones, and this is where the wine you choose can play a role.

With the removal of the unnecessary plastic wrap around the cork, the use of renewable plant-based closures and the paper for the labels coming from certified sustainable forests and made partially from grape waste, combined with a donation to marine charities from every bottle sold they think choosing Sea Change does make a difference.

Find yourself a new favourite wine from Sea Change, a social enterprise making waves of change with their eco-friendly wines.

These winemakers are committed to creating exceptional drinks and caring for our oceans in equal measure. Look closely at the beautiful hand drawn illustrations on each bottle and you’ll notice the marine animals depicted have bits of plastic inside, reflecting the effects of plastic pollution.

Keen to be part of the solution, Sea Change put real thought into their own packaging. There are none of those plastic wraps around their bottle tops and the labels are a mix of paper from certified sustainable forests and grape waste too. Even the corks are made from a renewable plant-based material.

Sea Change also gives back to conservation charities who help protect marine animals too, making a donation for every bottle sold. All this adds up to a lot of small ripples of change and one big positive impact per bottle. In fact, they've now donated a whopping €500,000 to charity.

Better still, there’s a great variety in their award-winning range. So you can toast to making a difference whether you’re partial to a prosecco, reds like negroamaro, whites like sauvignon blanc or a rosé.
