S'wheat
Meet the S’wheat reusable water bottle made top to toe from plants. The name comes from their main material, the naturally antibacterial wheat straw.
With plants in their DNA and a planet-friendly production process powered by renewable resources, these bottles require up to 60% less carbon than alternatives made from materials like plastic or steel.
S’wheat also squeezes extra environmental impact out of their products. They plant a trackable native tree for every water bottle they sell, helping restore vital forests in regions where deforestation is rife and creating much-needed employment for local communities as tree planters. Scan the QR code on your bottle to follow your tree’s journey.
The S’wheat team has poured serious thought into the design of these bottles too, to make them a can’t-live-without accessory. They come with a handy carry clip, slide-lock lid and fit in standard-sized car cup holders, plus they’re dishwasher safe.
The brand also promises they’re uber durable, made to last for over a decade. So expect your S’wheat bottle to be by your side during every outing for years to come.
Founders Amee Ritchie and Jake Elliot-Hook started thinking up plans for a water bottle that was as sustainable as it was functional back in 2018. They landed on wheat straw as the perfect material for building their plant-based bottle vision – especially as it’s a by-product in the UK, fitting with their circular economy principles.
After building a buzz through a crowdfunding campaign, the first S’wheat bottles went out into the world in 2020 with a sell-out launch and an appearance on a Channel 4 TV show.
Since then, Amee and Jake have continued expanding the business, snowballing its impact along the way. They’ve introduced corporate branding, allowing them to team up with like-minded sustainable businesses, and have partnered with more organisations across the globe to spread their reforestation efforts even further.
