Elvis & Kresse
Elvis & Kresse is a waste-saving luxury accessories brand who craft beautiful lifestyle products out of some unexpected raw materials.
Thanks to them, damaged and decommissioned London firehoses no longer end up in landfill, as they once did. Instead, they’re given a new lease of life as part of the Elvis & Kresse range of lifestyle accessories.
And they save other would-be waste materials too, like parachute silk, tea sacks and leather from the cutting room floor of premium fashion brands. Their five-year partnership with the Burberry Foundation will see at least 120 tonnes of leather off-cuts be remade into Elvis & Kresse accessories.
The brand is built on three pillars: rescue, transform, donate. This last one means that 50% of their profits always go to charities like The Fire Fighters Charity. So they’re giving back to good causes while doing good for the planet.
From tote bags to cufflinks, look no further for unique, beautifully crafted accessories that are made to last.
A chance encounter with the London Fire Brigade in 2005 first alerted Kresse Wesling and partner James Henrit (Elvis) to the fact that fire hoses beyond repair were going to landfill.
Determined to find a way to repurpose this iconic material, they went away to research the possibilities. Eventually, they landed on accessories as the perfect way to give it a second life and began creating the Elvis & Kresse fire hose range.
The duo are all about doing business for a better world and contributing to a circular economy, with Elvis & Kresse being one of the first businesses in the UK to certify as a B Corp.
