Made from upcycled tyre tube that would normally go to landfill. The upcycled material ensures it is sturdy and water resistant, making the Envelope Vegan Sling Bag ideal for commuting and everyday use, or a casual night out.

Fairtrade and handmade, these products are made by Green The Map in Delhi. Green the map work with the waste collectors and scrap dealers across the city to collect the waste and upcycle it. They use tyre tube, juice cartons, milk packets, beer cans, chips packets and almost everything that has been thrown away to give it a new life in the form of accessories, stationery and items of home décor. Nothing is wasted. One of their core principles is to create employment for people from marginalised sections of society, by engaging them in production, sales and other operational aspects of the business.

18 x 3 x 27cm; Strap length 110cm

Recycled tyres, recycled brass, cotton strapping. Wipe clean strapping and bag. For brass chain use a brass polish e.g Brasso or for a more natural alternative, cover half a lemon in salt and rub over your jewellery until you see the tarnish start to lift, rinse well and polish dry with a soft cloth. Avoid prolonged contact with liquids and never spray with perfumes as this will cause the brass to tarnish quicker.

SO JUST SHOP curates accessories and homewares which create a better world for the women who make them. They thoughtfully source beautiful lifestyle products for their collection from female artisans in vulnerable and marginalised communities in 20 countries across the world.

Their business is built on having fair and ethical relationships with the women they work with. As well as paying a living wage, they offer opportunities for training and upskilling, especially in male-dominated skills. All this helps these talented artisans towards economic empowerment.

It also gives them the education and tools to provide for their families, which has a positive impact across their wider community. And ultimately, the whole country too, since they can make a sustainable and valuable contribution to the economy. It’s all-round good business creating ripples of change far and wide, which we love.

SO JUST SHOP aims to lift 250,000 women and their families out of poverty through their ethical, sustainable products.
