Blue patterned pillar candles
Enjoy and re-use
Did you know that each of these lovely fair-trade candles lasts between 15 and 90 hours, and that you can re-use the medium or large pillar candles?
They’re made from two types of wax, with the external patterned wax frame being extremely hard and durable. This frame of the larger candles holds their shape, so you can enjoy your stunning candle time and time again by putting a tea light or small candle inside!
When re-using, we recommend burning the candle down to one-third of its height in order to keep its shape.
A unique and beautiful pattern
Each candle in our collection has been expertly crafted by professional candle-makers in the mountain kingdom of Eswatini, so you can be sure of exceptional quality. As they’re handmade, no two candles will be exactly the same.
The artisans shape these candles using the ancient ‘millefiori’ technique, which was perfected in Italy to create the finest glass sculptures. This technique was then translated into use with wax.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever. - John Keats
Our Blue Delft Pillar Candles definitely are certainly beautiful in our opinion. So, make sure to buy one (or more!) if you’d like to decorate your home or surprise a friend with a stunning home-warming present.

How the candles are made
The wax is coloured by mixing pigments with hot wax, which is then poured into flat sheets.
Sheets are marked, cut and then carefully layered according to the chosen design.
The resulting slabs are compressed, extruded and re-extruded and then sliced into thin veneers.
These veneers are then taken by the candle makers and skilfully stretched over a core of pure white wax and hand made into the desired shapes.
