Gift Wild creates cards and gifts for the nature obsessed, with beautiful wildlife designs backed by a commitment to doing good for the planet.
The cards, prints, notebooks, cushion covers and other accessories all show off stunning animal illustrations and lino prints. All the artwork is original, produced by talented in-house designer Penny. But more than looking pretty, the wildlife lovers at Gift Wild make sure their products have a real positive impact on the natural world.
Firstly, they’re exacting in their eco-friendly making methods. Only 100% recycled, uncoated paper is used for the cards and printing is done with vegetable inks. Gift Wild textile products are made from organic Fairtrade cotton, certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard and Soil Association. And they stick to plastic-free packaging.
10% of profits from each card or gift also go to a conservation charity, related to whichever wildlife star it features. For example, pick a dragonfly design and the donation goes to the British Dragonfly Society, while products with birds support the RSPB.
So you can choose a card and gift for someone with artwork inspired by their fave wildlife, with extra joy from helping protect them too. It’s the Gift Wild way of celebrating nature.
Katy Haynes is the conservation enthusiast behind Gift Wild. She’s had an education and career based around wildlife, with a Zoology degree, an MSc in Wildlife Management and Conservation and various roles at the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT).
Launching Gift Wild combined Katy’s retail know-how with her passion for nature. Life as a social enterprise founder was also a chance to move away from ordinary work structures, which have been a trigger for her depression in the past.
Katy’s supported by two fellow nature geeks at Gift Wild. Her good friend Penny Smallshire is the artist who creates all the brand’s beautiful designs, while her sister Bex lovingly prepares all orders.
